For Christmas one year, I may have been 8 or so, my big brother, Matt, gave me my first fantasy book.
The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks.
That book began my love of fantasy. Talk about a genius. That is one great series. Love! Love! Love!

The earliest fantasy I can really remember reading was Harry Potter, which I started in junior high. After that, I was hooked. :)

When I was 8 or 9, I remember reading The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy & The Chronicles of Narnia.
I think my love of the fantasy genre as an adult hit when I read Raymond E. Feist's The Riftwar Saga.

You will not beleive this, but i also read this series and have always hated that i got rid of my books. I read this book when i was sick at home with mono as a kid..my parents got it for me to give me something to do!!
